Bonita "Bonni" Jean Gavin
67, of Hwy B, Stevens Point, died with her loving husband and children at her side Friday, October 15, 2010 at Ministry St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born June 30, 1943 in Stevens Point. Daughter of the late John and Ramona (Cisewski) Osowski.
Bonni graduated from Maria High School. Her marriage to Robert A.Gavin took place on June 23, 1962 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church; after the marriage, the couple settled in Arnott.
She was a homemaker and cared lovingly for her grandchildren for many years.
She enjoyed birds, puzzles, knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles, gardening and playing cards. Her most precious time was spent with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Gavin of Arnott. Daughter, Debra (Jeff) Yonke of Almond; sons, Jeffrey (Jane) Gavin of Stevens Point, Timothy (Mary) Gavin of Bancroft, and David (Becky) Gavin of Plover. One sister, Sandra (Thomas) Moore of Green Bay. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.
8 Grandchildren, Jesse, Jadee and Jakob Gavin; Ethan and Garett Yonke; Daphne, Mason and Sydney Gavin.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Plover. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday evening, and again from 9:30 a.m until the time of services Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
