Carl S. Steinke Sr.
Age 90, formerly of 550 West River Dr., St. Point, died Sunday Feb. 11, 2007 at the Strawberry Lane Medical Center in Wisconsin Rapids.
He was born March 27, 1916 in Arnott to the late William O. and Gladys (Greenwood) Steinke.
He was married to Harriet J. Haka on April 20, 1942 at St. Peter Catholic Church.
The Community Coop in Arnott employed Carl prior to serving in the United States Army during WWII. Carl was awarded the Silver Star. After WWII, he returned to the Stevens Point Area. He was a highly respected self-employed carpenter for 22 years prior to his tenure as the lead carpenter for the Stevens Point School District.
Carl took pride in helping his fellowman throughout his life. He was a kind and loving husband, father & grandfather.
A memorial in his name will be established at a later date.

A funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church. Rev. Kevin Louis will officiate. Burial will take place in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of services Friday morning in the St. Faustina Room at St. Peter's Church. Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
