Catherine M. Dhein:
89, of Stevens Point, died Sunday, September 8, 2013, at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital.
Catherine was born on January 31, 1924, in Stevens Point. She was the daughter of the late Joseph & Helen (Maciejewski) Bombera.
Catherine was a member of the first graduating class from P.J. Jacobs High School.
Her marriage to Leonard Dhein took place on October 30, 1943, in Milwaukee. After the marriage, the couple settled in Milwaukee for a few years before finally settling in Stevens Point. Her husband, Leonard, died on August 11, 1998.
She was a member of the St. Anne's Society, Charter member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, St. Stanislaus Rosary Society and the National Catholic Society of Foresters.
She enjoyed baking, knitting and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters: Pat (Paul) Thompson of Virginia, Joan (Joe) Guzman of Stevens Point and Debra (Tom) Sowatzke of Nekoosa. Six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Bombera; one sister, Elaine Vicker; and one great-grandson, Jeremy.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, September 12, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Jerzy Rebacz officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Catherine's name will be established at a later date.
