Christine R. Rutta:
83, of 257 Fourth Avenue, Stevens Point, died Monday, September 20, 2010 at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital. Born July 19, 1927 in Bancroft. Daughter of the late Stanley "Ed" & Sophie (Biesik) Ciesielski.
She attended local schools, graduating from P.J. Jacobs High School.
Her marriage to Stanley Rutta took place on June 26, 1948 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover; after the marriage, the couple settled in Stevens Point. Her husband, Stanley, died on August 28, 2009.
Christine worked as a waitress for Hotel Whiting in Stevens Point for 30 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the St. Peter's Rosary Society Rose #21.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening and visiting with family and friends. She was a devoted member of St. Peter's Church. Her favorite pastime was going to the casino by bus or with family.
Survivors include one Daughter: Rosemary Krayecki (Paul Hamm) of Stevens Point. One Son: Alexander (Ann) Rutta of Wisconsin Rapids. Five Grandchildren: Larissa Dassow, Erica (Shawn) Wojcik, Troy Krayecki (Kathy Howe), Brad Rutta (Tori Rogoski), all of Stevens Point and Amy (Eric) Tamlyn of Cass City, MI. Three Great-Grandchildren: Aaron Dassow, Alex Wojcik and Alexis Tamlyn. Also survived by Sisters: Gertrude Schulist of Stevens Point, Irene Jacowski of Janesville. Brothers: Robert (Shirley) Ciesielski of Plover and Edward (Beverly) Ciesielski of Bancroft.
Preceded in death by Sisters: Verona Sankey, Mary Ziarkowski & Florence Ciesielski.
Brother: Joseph Ciesielski.
Funeral Mass: 9:30a.m. Thursday, September 23, 2010 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Rev. Kevin C. Louis officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation on Thursday from 8:30a.m. until time of services in the St. Faustina Room at the church. Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, Stevens Point, is assisting the family with arrangements.
