Christopher "Chris" Grezenski

Christopher (Chris) C. Grezenski, age 72, of the Town of Dewey, passed away on September 14, 2026, after a short battle with cancer. He spent his final days surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Chris was born on June 2, 1954, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, the son of the late Albert and Lucille (Kawleski) Grezenski. He attended local schools and graduated from SPASH in 1972.

On July 28, 1973, Chris married his high school sweetheart, Jane Wolfe. Together, Chris and Jane worked on the family dairy farm until 1990. While farming, they both maintained full-time jobs.

Chris worked as a sawyer for James Grezenski Forest Products for 43 years before deciding to embark on a new adventure in 2015. He then became a Utility Worker at Neenah Paper in Plover, Wisconsin, where he worked until retiring in 2018.

In addition to his other occupations, Chris owned and operated C & G Sawing from 1992 until his full retirement in 2025.

Chris enjoyed exploring the countryside with his wife in their UTV. He loved spending time in his shop, whether working on one of his many projects or simply visiting with friends and family. He also enjoyed relaxing on the backyard swing, listening to the soothing sounds of the water fountain and admiring the beautifully landscaped yard he had worked so hard to create. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards, watching Westerns, and listening to polka music.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff of the Compassus Home Health and Hospice teams for the compassionate care, kindness, and support they provided to Chris and his family throughout his final journey.

Chris is survived by his wife, Jane; his three daughters: Jackie Grezenski and her three children, Cody (Savannah) Sharp, Kennedy Sharp, and Cordell (Hailey) Sharp; Heather Hintz and her three children, Tyler Hintz, Colton Hintz (Cristina Cease), and Anthony (Morgan) Hintz; and Karen (David Jr.) Lorbecke and their two children, Hunter Lorbecke and Tucker Lorbecke. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren: Collin Hintz, Mason Hintz, Sophia Hintz, Astrid Sharp, and Isabella Sharp.

He is further survived by eight brothers, James (Barb), Kenneth (Cathy), Dennis, Norman (Terri), Allan (Carol), Kevin (Diane), Glenn (Michelle), and Darwin; and five sisters, Donna (James) Holmes, Cindy (Eugene) Pionek, Debbie (Jesse) Wolfe, Denise Wiza, and Doreen (Rich) Zarecki. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by his brothers, Dale and Ronald, his sister, Coreen Lassa, and sister-in-laws Jane, Carol and Elaine.

In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in Chris's name at a later date. 

A Funeral Service for Chris will be held in Plover on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Pisarski Funeral Home, 2911 Plover Road, Plover. 

There will be a visitation for family and friends from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. There will be a luncheon immediately following the service from 11:30 AM until approximately 2:30 PM at Springville Sports Barn, 2811 Plover Springs Drive, Plover. All are welcome to attend to continue to share memories and honor the life of Chris with his family.
