Clarence K. Stanchik

Clarence K. (Kenny) Stanchik passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Age 83, Kenny was born October 25, 1934 in Stevens Point. He was the son of the late Lucas and Frances (Cisewski). He attended St. Peter's Catholic School and graduated from P. J. Jacobs High School in 1953.

He entered the USMC on October 9, 1953 and was honorably discharged in 1956 as a Sergeant. While serving in the USMC, he met the love of his life, Pvt. Kathryn L. Henderson. They were married October 28, 1956 in Yuma, AZ. After their marriage, the couple settled in Stevens Point. They were married for 60 years before her death on January 17, 2017. Kenny worked as a carpenter all his life and in his retirement, he worked as a maintenance man for Blue Top. He enjoyed doing puzzles, word finds and loved watching the Packers and Brewers play. He especially loved times spent with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his son Todd (Denise) Stanchik and his three daughters, Tami (Bruce) Moss,

Teri (Jesse) Karbowski and Traci (Clay) Preusser; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren with the fourth one on the way; one brother, James and one sister Shirley (Rich) Duda. He was preceded in death by one son, Thomas, three brothers, Richard, Norbert and Joseph, and one sister, Ruth Mundt.

The funeral mass will be Tuesday, November 7 ^th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Stevens Point. Rev. Arul Joseph V. officiating. Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday morning in the St. Faustina Room of church from 9:00 a.m. until the time for mass. Pisarski Funeral Homes are honored to be serving the family.
