Curtis J. Porter

Curtis Joseph Porter, 36, passed away peacefully at home on August 21st, 2026.

Curtis was born in Stevens Point, WI on November 6th, 1989 to Tom and Tammy Porter. Curtis grew up in Whiting and graduated from SPASH in 2008.

Curtis enjoyed watching professional and college sports but his favorite sports to watch were anything his niece and nephews were playing.

Curtis enjoyed going to Las Vegas with his Uncle Dave to watch March Madness, going to the Minnesota boys state high school hockey tournament, spending time out on the water, and daily talks with his friends.

Curtis is survived by his parents, Tom and Tammy Porter, brother, Blake Porter (Rebecca), niece and nephews Taylor, Brennen, Nolan Porter and his aunts, uncles and cousins. Curtis is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Theresa Steward and paternal grandparents, Wendel and Violet Porter.

A Celebration of Life for Curtis will be held on Friday, August 28th, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a closing of words at 12:00 PM in Plover at Pisarski Community Funeral Home, 2911 Plover Road, Plover. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly invites you to consider a donation towards a memorial ballpark bench or local youth athletic organizations in honor of Curtis.
