Diane Jeanne Brekke

Diane Jeanne Brekke, 89 of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026.

Jeanne was born in Cudahy, Wisconsin to William and Elizabeth (Martish) Spaar. She attended local schools and graduated from Cudahy High School in 1955. She grew up loving art and music, and later loved collecting antiques and Guardian Angel pictures.

Jeanne married Rodale Brekke in 1956. They later divorced. Together they raised 5 children who she was immensely proud of.

Jeanne had a long career of providing home health care in the West Allis area. In retirement, she moved back to Stevens Point to be closer to her family. She was known for her kindness and was treasured by all that knew her.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth & William Spaar; three of her sisters, Dorothy Seitz, Eunice Kubash, & Betsy Gabrhel; and her beloved grandson, Brian Kranski.

Jeanne is survived by her sister, Shirley Pinter of Winner, SD; her children, Kevin (Karla) Brekke of Edgerton, WI, Karen (Ray) Kasper of Lexington, KY, Kathy (Dennis) Westaby of Menomonie, WI, Kris (Mark) Kranski of Custer, WI, and Ken (Brenda) Brekke of Plover, WI. She adored her 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Jeanne’s family would like to extend special thanks to the caring staff at Maple Ridge Memory Care in Plover for their extraordinary care.

A private memorial will be held in her honor at a later date. Pisarski Funeral Homes are honored to be serving the Brekke Family.
