Donald “Don” Lilyquist, 93 of Stevens Point, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter and loyalty to his family. He was born on February 25, 1933 to Rodney and Lucy Lilyquist in the Town of Eau Pleine. A proud Korean War Veteran, Don carried a quiet strength and strong sense of patriotism throughout his life.
Don was the beloved husband of Patricia “Pat” (Zdroik) Lilyquist for nearly 70 years. He dedicated 33 years of service to the City of Stevens Point Street Department, where he was known for his hard work and reliability. He was a loving father to his daughter Karen Myers and son-in-law Doug Myers, and he treasured the companionship of his very special fur baby grand dog, Bailey. Don was also survived by many nieces and nephews who remember his kindness, humor, and generous spirit.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Lilyquist, brother George Lilyquist, father Rodney Lilyquist and mother, Lucy Lilyquist.
Don found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan who rarely missed cheering on his team. He loved playing cards, working on word searches, riding his three-wheeled bike, and taking bus trips. His presence will be deeply missed, but forever treasured.
The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Aspirus Hospice and Point Manor Assisted Living for the care, kindness, and support they provided to Don and his family during his final days.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Don will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1401 Clark Street, Stevens Point. Rev. Jeffrey Hennes will officiate. The visitation will be on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Burial with full military honors will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
