Plover

Donald E. Repinski, 83, of Plover, passed away at Cranberry Court, in Wisconsin Rapids under the wonderful care of the staff and Aspirus Hospice on Friday October 6, 2017. God called Don home where his parents await him. Donald was born June 25, 1934 to the late Edward & Tilly (Kostuchowski) Repinski.

Donald graduated from PJ Jacobs High School in 1952. Donald started his working career at Weber Tackle and then joined the U.S. Army after graduation.

He ended his career at Consolidated Papers Whiting Division as Store Keeper.

Donald was a former State Champion Trap Shooter & also participated in the Nationals.

He was one of the best. Boxes of trophies prove that. He loved to take long rides on his motorcycle, long walks through Plover and parked his car in the garage and rode his bicycle. He took pride in his photography.

Donald was an avid deer hunter and proved that you can get a deer almost every year on public hunting land near Meadow Valley.

Don married Joan Allworden on July 11, 1988 at St. Peter's Catholic Church. He became an instant step-father of Joan's four children. Joan's youngest daughter Vicki was the apple of Don's eye, and was called Baby Doll. Vicki would take Don out to lunch or dinner at their favorite place, Michelle's restaurant. She would get out the picture albums and talk about the good old days. Survivors include Joan Allworden, Don's step-children, Kevin (Claire) Weslaski, Allen Weslaski, Amy (Larry) White, and Vicki Ironside. Don and Joan's marriage ended in divorce but they stayed life time friends.

Step-grandchildren Sterling Netzer, Devin Brown, Paige Weslaski, James Weslaski, Cody Kolo, Bradley Ironside. Also survived by cousins.

Donald was preceded in death by a step-son, Allen Weslaski.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Cranberry Court, Aspirus Riverview Hospital, and Aspirus Hospice Services for their loving care they provided to Donald and his family. Special thanks to Father Joseph (St. Peter's Catholic Church) for making the drive from Stevens Point to Wisconsin Rapids to be with Donald in his time of need.
