Donald F. Zimbauer Sr.
Of the Town of Sharon, Stevens Point died Thursday afternoon January 8, 2015 at the Portage County Health Care Center.
Age 89 Donald was born June 6, 1925 in the Town of Sharon. He was the son of the late John and Francis (Grywacz) Zimbauer.
Donald married the former Charlotte Budzinski on September 1, 1952 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia. She preceded him in death on July 29, 1999.
Donald worked for SNE in Stevens Point for many years until his retirement in 1987.
He enjoyed gardening and took pride in taking care of his yard. He was an usher for Sacred Heart Church for many years. For those who knew Don, he had a unique way of telling his own jokes. His most precious time was spending it with his family.
Donald is survived by his children Donald Jr. (Delores) of Stevens Point, Cynthia (Patrick) Kosmalski and Laurie (Dennis) Kosmalski both of Rosholt., six grandchildren and four great grandchildren . One Sister Clara Dudzik of Custer.
He was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte and four brothers and three sister.
Funeral Mass will be 11:00 A.M. Monday January 12, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia. Rev. Marcin Mankowski officiating. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 9:30 A.M. Monday at the church until the time for mass. The Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
