DUANE J (JERRY) FISHER,

of Stevens Point, died Saturday morning at St. Michael's Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer on Jan. 27, 2007. Age: 59. Duane was born on July 17, 1947
in Stevens Point. He was the son of the late William & Delores (NEE: Dykas) Fisher. He attended local schools, and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1965.

He married the former Dona Alm on November 24, 1966 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Stevens Point. After their marriage, the couple settled in Stevens Point. His wife Dona survives. On January 22, 1966 Duane joined the Army National Guard in Stevens Point. He served for 6 years, and was honorably discharged on January 22, 1972. Duane worked for Consolidated Papers – Stevens Point Division for over 40 years, retiring in April 2006 due to his health. Duane enjoyed spending time with his family, loved Duck Hunting in North Dakota, and enjoyed trap shooting and fishing.

FUNERAL MASS: 11:00 AM TUESDAY ST. PETER'S CATHOLIC CHURCH. BURIAL IN THE GUARDIAN ANGEL CEMETERY. FAMILY AND FRIENDS MAY CALL FROM 9:00 AM TUESDAY AT THE ST. FAUSTINA ROOM OF ST.
