Edmund E. Domka:

83, of 3113 Welsby Avenue, Stevens Point, died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at his home. He was under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice Services. Born October 12, 1927
in Stevens Point. Son of the late John & Regina (Waldoch) Domka. He attended local schools.

He entered the service on November 23, 1945 in Chicago, IL. He was a PFC in the Army. He received the Victory Medal and Army of Occupation Medal, serving in Germany. Edmund was honorably discharged on March 8, 1947 at Fort Sheridan, IL.

His marriage to Rose Singer took place on October 30, 1948 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Torun. After the marriage, the couple settled in the Stevens Point area. The couple was married for 61 years. His wife, Rose, died on August 20, 2010.

Edmund worked for Consolidated Papers-Wisconsin River Division, retiring in 1990.

He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters St. John's Court 1807.

Edmund's favorite pastime was Polka dancing with his wife, Rose. He enjoyed cross stitching, latch hook wool rugs, play the concertina, fishing & hunting.

Survivors include his daughters, Marilyn Ebel of Plover and Deborah (Tod) Borchert of Stevens Point. Son, Ronald (Mary) Domka of Stevens Point. Seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Sister, Sr. Florence Domka of St. Joseph Convent, Stevens Point.

Preceded in death by brothers, Steve, Frank and Stanley.

Funeral Mass: 10:30am Thursday, April 28, 2011 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Rev. Robert Letona officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery.

Visitation on Wednesday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, Stevens Point, and again on Thursday from 9:30am until time of service in the St. Faustina Room at the church.

Catholic Order of Foresters will combine with the parish rosary at 7:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Edmund's name will be established at a later date.
