Emily R. Kossowski:
age 98, of Stevens Point, passed away Wed. May 29, 2013 at St. Michael's Hospital.
Emily was born Jan. 31, 1915 in Portage County to the late Andrew and Mary (Stachowiak) Zimbauer.
Her marriage to Stanley Kossowski took place on June 16, 1945 in Chicago, IL. Stanley passed away on Oct. 10, 2010.
She worked at Weber Fly & Tackle for a few years and also sold vegetables at the Stevens Point & Wausau Farmer's Markets.
Emily was a fantastic cook and an even a better baker, she also enjoyed playing bingo, church picnics, gardening, taking scenic drives, playing cards and especially enjoyed celebrating special occasions with family.
She was a golden member of St. Casimir's Christian Women's Society.
A memorial in her name will be established at a later date.
Survivors include her four daughters: Mary Ann (Tom) Drugan of AZ, Joan Walloch of TN, Patricia (Ronald) Gollon and Christine Peterson both of Stevens Point.
She is further survived by her eleven grandchildren: Todd, Jarod, Craig & Shane Woyak, Kim Engle, Keith, Kevin, Kurt & Kenny Gollon, Karen Gerzmehle & Brenda Steinmetz; and her twenty-three beautiful great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by 1 son: David, 1 grandson: Kory Gollon, 12 brothers & sisters, and 2 sons-in-law: Conrad Walloch & Harold Peterson.
Funeral Mass: 10:00 am Monday, June 3, 2013 at St. Casimir Catholic Church. Rev. Arul Joseph V. officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of services Monday morning at the Church.
