Frank Paul Hintz, age 90, formerly of Mosinee, met his Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the Stevens Point Care Center. He was greeted by departed loved ones including his parents, Roman and Frances (Mozuch) Hintz; his paternal grandparents, Michael and Sarah (Karpinski) Hintz; his maternal grandparents, Valentine and Anna (Wierzba) Mozuch; one infant son, Frank Jr.; one grandson; one great-grandson; one daughter-in-law; three brothers; two sisters; seven brothers-in-law and 4 sisters-in-law.

Frank was born Jan. 24, 1917, in Bevent (Pike Lake), Wisc. He attended County Line School. His first job was in a lumber camp in White Lake, Wisc., and then at another in Ontonagon, Mich.

On Oct. 25, 1941, Frank married the love of his life, Susan Kluck, at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent. She survives. The couple lived in Chicago for 2 years, where Frank worked at Great Lakes Plating Company.

Frank and Susan then purchased a farm in Mosinee and Frank also worked at Bentley Sawmill near Custer, Wisc. His last job was at the Wergin Construction Company of Wausau, retiring in 1980.

Children surviving him include Daniel (Donna) Hintz of Mosinee; Larry (Janice) Hintz of Rosholt; Robert Hintz, Karen (Chet) Danczyk, Jerry (Julie) Hintz, Donna (Artie) Ciepluch and Rose (LeRoy) Lemke all of Stevens Point. Also 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Further survivors include 5 sisters, Regina Stencil of Edgar; Anna (Ray) Palbrach of Custer; Selma (Carl) Glodowski & Lillian (Steve) Kaminski both of Stevens Point and Dorothy (James) Wachowiak of Milwaukee. Also, one brother, Chester (Elsie) of Rosholt.

Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, auctions, spending time in the woods and visiting with family and friends. His Catholic faith was very important to him; he was a longtime member and usher at St. Francis Xavier Church in Knowlton, Wisc.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial in his name will be established at a later date.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Knowlton with the Rev. Joseph Grassl officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point and again on Tuesday morning at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time for Mass.
