GRACE H. (GANSKI) RYCHTER:
A mother's love is like a rose, always blooming, forever caring, always giving, and forever sharing.
Surrounded by those who loved her, Grace Helen (Ganski) Rychter, 78, of 5624 Dewey Drive, Steven Point, peacefully passed into eternal life, at the Portage County Health Care Center on Saturday, March
24, 2007. She was in ill health since diagnosed with cancer in late November 2006.
Grace, caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, was born July 31, 1928 to the late August and Martha (Domaszek) Ganski. She graduated from Polk Grade School and took Home Economics classes as a young woman at the technical school in Wausau.
Grace was married to Stanley Leonard Rychter on Saturday, June 22, 1946 at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent. Stanley died February 23. 1976 at their farm home. Grace and Stanley farmed their entire lives while raising seven children. After Stanley's death, she helped her son Ronald with the dairy and beef farm operations. She treasured the location of her home next to St. Mary's Church, Torun. Grace was known for her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens which she shared with family and friends. She was also a great cook and loved to bake for family, friends and neighbors. Her beautifully presented family dinners will always be remembered. In her retirement, Grave enjoyed traveling, but always stated, "My favorite place is at home".
Grace had a devotion of faith to the Blessed Virgin Mary that helped her pass into eternal life. It was that faith and compassion that she passed on to her family and all who knew her. May she be remembered as a simple person of faith and love who cared for others. Grace, a devout Catholic, was a very active member of St. Mary's Church at Torun. She and her husband attended daily mass for many years. She always volunteered to work at church, cared for a special altar honoring the Blessed Mother Mary, and was active in the parish Rosary Society.
Grace was a dedicated family and community historian. She maintained many beautiful scrap books documenting family events as well as local and world news articles. Embracing her Polish heritage, she traveled to Poland and was a member of the Stanislaw Moniuszko Polish Heritage Choir of Stevens Point
Memories of Grace will always be cherished by her survivors: including two sons, Daniel (Judy) Rychter, Ronald (Patricia) Rychter, who lived in homes built by Stanley and Grace next to the Rychter farm in the Town of Dewey; five daughters, Bernadette (William) Stoegbauer, Appleton, Wisc., Theresa (Norman) Grezenski, Stevens Point, Angeline (Thomas) Pesanka, Stevens Point, Caroline (Allan) Grezenski, Custer, Veronica (John) Danczyk, Stevens Point; one sister, Alvina Kurszewski, Milwaukee, Wisc. two half sisters; Agnes Cross, Woodland, Calif., and Eleanor Mearek, Eau Claire, Wisc.
Grace's love of family was evidenced by her close relationship with her grandchildren, great-grand

Michael Stoegbauer, Appleton, Wisc., Kimberly Grezenski, Stevens Point, Courtney (Bruce) Hobright, Rosholt, Wisc. Shannon Grezenski, Stevens Point, Trisha (Kevin) Fenske, Rosholt, Nathan (Lisa) Grezenski, Rosholt, Nicole (Brian) Flees, Amherst Junction, Sara Grezenski, Auburndale, Wisc. Stacy Grezenski, Custer, and Rebecca Danczyk, Stevens Point. Grace had three step grandchildren; Timothy (Crystal) Pesanka, Oceanside, Calif., Phillip (Leeanne) Pesanka, Schofield, Wisc. 9 Great grandchildren; Hayden and Sutton Krug, Jori Gagas, Hanna Brattie, Colton Laffe, Tyler and Olivia Hobright, Gracie and Brian Jr. Flees, and 3 step great grand daughters; Shawna Laffe, Stephanie Goretski and Audrey Pesanka.
Grace was preceded in death by, her husband Stanley, parents, infant granddaughter Amanda Grezenski, one brother, Raymond (Jeanette) Ganski, one sister, Lorraine (Matthew) Kolodziej-Peterson, 5 half brother; Leo (Valeria) Ganski, Edward (Stasha) Mientke, Thaddaus (Regina) Mientke, Norbert (Mabel) Mientke, Clemens Mientke(infant), three half sisters, Lillian (Thomas) Brodnax, Helen (William) Grab, and Dorothy (Leonard) Olsen, one brother in law Chester Kurszewski, and two half brothers in laws, Frank Kamin and Clinton Mearek.
Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10:30 am Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Torun. Rev. Wesley Janowski officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday evening at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, and from 9:30 am Wednesday at St. Mary's Church in Torun until the time for mass. There will be two rosary's prayed Tuesday evening at the funeral home. One at 7:00 pm led by St. Mary's Rosary Society, and then a Parish Rosary at 7:30 pm Tuesday led by Rev. Wesley Janowski. The Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. The Family would like to extend a special thank you to the physicians and staff at St. Michaels Hospital/Ministry Health Care, and the Portage County Health Care Center who took special care of Grace.
