Ione A. Pitcher

Age 79, of Stevens Point, died Wednesday July 5, 2017, at the Portage County Health Care Center.

Ione was born on July 7, 1937, in Little Suamico WI. She was the daughter of the late Edward &

Elvira (Corey) Durand.

She attended schools in Oconto WI. Her marriage to Jerome "Jerry" Pitcher took place on June 18, 1960, in Abrams WI. Her husband Jerry died on July 19, 2002.

Ione worked at the Portage County Health Care Center retiring in 2002.

She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and also enjoyed visiting with her family in Little Suamico.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Haessly of Junction City, Brenda (Ron) Smith of Wisconsin Rapids and Rhonda Knapp of Stevens Point. Sons, David and Michael Pitcher both of Stevens Point.

Also survived by one sister, Elva Trantham of Texas.

She was preceded in death by, three brothers, two sisters and one son-in-law, Kenneth.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday July 10, 2017, at the Pisarski Funeral Home 703 Second Street Stevens Point. Burial will follow in St. Stephen parish cemetery. Pastor Mark Lewis will officiate. Visitation on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Pisarski Funeral Homes are honored to be serving the family.
