Irene M. Eiden:

90, of 2229 Dixon Street, Stevens Point, died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Stevens Point Care Center. She was under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice. Born May 5, 1921 in Stevens Point. Daughter of the late Nicholas & Helen (Eiden) Kabachinski.

She attended local schools, graduating from P.J. Jacobs High School. Her marriage to Robert Eiden took place on May 8, 1954 at St. Stephen Catholic Church. Her husband, Bob, died on July 8, 2007.

Irene worked for Hardware Mutual for over 10 years. She was a member of the American Legion Plover Post #543 Auxiliary, Polish Women's Alliance, St. Anne's Society and Catholic Women's Club. She enjoyed watching television and sports.

Survivors include her daughters, Karen Eiden and Mary Eiden both of Stevens Point. Son, Michael Eiden of Stevens Point. Sisters, Dorothy Schultz, Lorraine Schultz, Ethel Kabachinski and Eleanor Wimme all of Stevens Point. Also survived by a brother-in-law, Lloyd "Buck" (Nancy) Eiden of Plover.

Funeral Mass: 11:00am Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Jerzy Rebacz officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Stephen's Cemetery. Visitation on Monday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, Stevens Point, and again on Tuesday from 10:00am until time of services at the church.

American Legion Post #543 Auxiliary will have a ritual at 6:30pm. St. Anne's Society along with the Catholic Women's Club will combine with the parish rosary at 7:00pm Monday at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Irene's name will be established at a later date.
