Town of Bevent, Hatley, WI died early Wednesday morning, October 6, 2010 at her home.
Age 85. Irene was born October 3, 1925 in the Town of Alban, WI. She was the daughter of the late Ben and Frances (Sikorski) Omernik.
Her marriage to Chester Strosin took place on January 3, 1946 in Manawa, WI. The couple was married for 64 years. Her husband, Chester, survives.
Irene enjoyed flower gardening.
Survivors include her husband: Chester of Hatley, one sister: Angie Alberts of Iola, and one brother: Ernie (Jean) Omernik of New London, WI, and many nieces and nephews. Irene was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 8, 2010 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt. Rev. Marcin Mankowski officiating. Burial will be in the St. Adalbert Parish Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 9:30 AM Friday morning at the Church until the time of mass. The Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
