IRENE VIETH
Of Stevens Point, died early Wednesday morning, July 8, 2009 at her home while under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.
Age 81. Irene was born February 22, 1928 in Chicago, IL. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Stefania (Klabiszewski) Dzwonkiewicz. She attended schools in the Chicago area.
Her marriage to LeRoy H. Vieth took place on June 19, 1948 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on September 18, 1969.
Irene and her son, Fred, moved to the Stevens Point area in 1976. Irene worked at St. Michael's Hospital in the housekeeping department until her retirement in 1988. She then worked for Supportive Home Health Care as an assisted living care taker.
Irene enjoyed bingo, playing cards and baking and loved gardening. She was also a member of St. Peter's Rosary Society Rose No. 4
Survivors include her son, Fred Vieth, of Stevens Point. Her sister, Joanne Delvalle, of Chicago, IL.
Her loving nephew, Stan Rusin, of Plover and her wonderful niece, Mickey Pajor, of Minnesota. She is also survived by her great-nephew, Randy (Laureen) Rusin, of Plover, and great-great-nephew, Tyler Rusin, and great-great-niece, Miranda Rusin, both of Plover.
She also has many other nieces and nephews, as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy, three sisters and three brothers.
Funeral Mass will be 9:30 A.M. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Rev. Kevin C. Louis officiating. Burial will take place in Chicago at a later date. Family and Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, Stevens Point, and on Saturday at the St. Faustina Room of St. Peter's Church from 8:30 A.M. until the time for mass. The St. Peter's Rosary Society will combine with the Parish Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.pisarskifuneralhome.com.
