James "Jim" J. Kozak:
Of Stevens Point, died peacefully Saturday evening, August 24, 2013 at his home.
Age 56, Jim was born December 16, 1956 in Stevens Point. He was the son of Rita (Wrycha) Kozak of Stevens Point and the late Walter Kozak.
He attended local schools and graduated from the Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) in 1975.
Jim worked at Steel King for over thirty-seven years and also worked on the family farm all his life.
Jim enjoyed the outdoors with hunting and fishing, picking blackberries and loved cutting wood. He was a true friend to many people and always had time to talk and visit with them.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Jim's name will be established at a later date.
Survivors include his mother: Rita Kozak of Stevens Point, one sister: Susan Wanta of Custer, and two brothers: David (Margaret) Kozak of Stevens Point and Steven Kozak of Clinton Township, MI, one brother-in-law: Robert Gollonik; and eleven nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father: Walter, and two sisters: Elsie Kotolski-Knight and Delores Gollonik; and three brothers-in-law: Thomas Wanta, Vincent Kotolski and Don Knight.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Torun. Rev. Greg Michaud officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Parish Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point, and from 9:30 A.M. Wednesday morning at St. Mary's Church until the time for mass. There will be a parish Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
