James J. Treder

Of Wisconsin Rapids, Town of Grand Rapids, died unexpectedly at his home early Friday morning.


Age 70. James was born August 13, 1939 in Stevens Point. He was the son of the late Jacob and Mary (Ramczyk) Treder. He attended schools in the Stevens Point area.

His marriage to Louise Stanke took place on June 28, 1975 at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Custer. His wife, Louise, survives.

Jim farmed most his life in Portage County until his retirement in 2004.

Jim loved spending time with his grandchildren and was an exceptional song writer and artist. He was an excellent story teller regarding his hunting and fishing, and always loved taking the "long way home."

Survivors include his wife, Louise Treder. His five daughters, Wendy (Scott) Koch and their children Jennifer, Jeremy, Kaycea and Sydney of Wisconsin Rapids. Angela Treder of Wisconsin Rapids. Melissa (Joel) Yach and their child Avin of Wisconsin Rapids. Sarah (Brian) Burr and their daughter Courtney of Wisconsin Rapids and Mary (Mario) Davila and their son Fernando of Wisconsin Rapids.

He is also survived by one brother, Anthony (Dorothy) Treder of Stevens Point and two sisters, Alice Treder of Milwaukee and Rose Marie Treder of Wisconsin Rapids.

Jim was preceded in death by one grandson, Hunter Koch and a sister, Bernice Bruski.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home in Plover. Rev. Dennis Stanchik officiating. Family and friends may call from 9:30 A.M.
