James O. Rutta

Age 63 of Stevens Point passed away peacefully Friday, May 4th, 2018 at his home. James was born September 1st, 1954 in Stevens Point. He was the son of the late John and Agnes (Betro) Rutta.

On September 23rd, 1977 James was united in marriage to Sally A. Sawyer at St. Peter's Catholic Church. After their marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point. His wife Sally survives.

James enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking and spending time with his family and friends after his retirement from Golden County Foods.

Survivors include his wife Sally of Stevens Point, one son Glenn (Jessica) Rutta, 7 grandchildren; Michelle, Ryley, Logan, Grayce, Carter, Emily and Eli, two brothers; Ray (Lee) Rutta of Plover, Ervin (Donna) Rutta of Stevens Point and one sister; Loretta (James) Sankey of Stevens Point. One special cousin Jack Betro of Stevens Point.

James was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Richard and Ronald, two sisters Lorraine and Margie, two daughters Candice and Kelly, two nephews Johnny Rutta and Bob Riske, and one niece Barbara Gollon.

As per James' wishes, funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 9, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Pisarski Funeral Home 703 Second Street Stevens Point. Visitation on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Deacon Vern Linzmeier will officiate. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery.
