79, of Custer, died Monday, November 26, 2012, at her home.
Janet was born on March 9, 1933 in Stevens Point. She was the daughter of the late Raymond & Mary (Waldvogel)
Meacham. She attended local schools. Her marriage to Robert Wanta took place on August 16, 1952 at St. Martin Catholic Church in Ellis. Her husband died on March 25, 2005.
Janet worked as a baker for the Holiday Inn and Blueberry Muffin Restaurant.
She enjoyed baking, gardening, knitting and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Randy (Diane) Wanta of Stevens Point. Daughters, Joan (Scott) Gralla of Stevens Point, and Gwen Wanta of Custer.
Grandchildren, Stacy (Jason) Bach, Amanda (John) Arens, Nichole (Gerry) Becker, Danielle Gralla & Travis (fiancée Alyssa) Gralla.
Great-Grandchildren, Starr, LoreLei, Cutter & Nolan. Sister, Shirley (Harvey) Meddaugh of Bancroft.
Preceded in death by one son, Gary; one grandson, Ryan; two brothers, Glenn and Harold "Bud" Meacham.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, 703 Second Street, Stevens Point. Rev. Marcin Mankowski officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the Funeral Home.
