Jean Marie Monroe

77, of Stevens Point received her angel wings on the beautiful sunny morning of Saturday, July 28, 2018. Jean and her twin sister Esther were born on Friday, August 2, 1940 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Estelle Acken.

She was married to Allan J Monroe on Saturday, September 20, 1969 at Holy Hill Basilica in Hubertus, Wisconsin. Together they had two beautiful daughters, Colleen and Kelly. Allan passed away very unexpectedly in April of 1980.

Her greatest joy was spending time and going places with her family and her five precious grandchildren, Sarra, Amanda, Ryan and twins Evan and Aaron.

She is survived by her twin sister Esther Acken of Ripon, Wisconsin and her brother Richard Acken of Illinois, her two daughters Colleen (Jim) Owens of Stevens Point and Kelly Monroe of Wisconsin Rapids, and of course her five grandchildren.

A small private service will be held on Thursday August 2, 2018 at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield Wisconsin on what would have been her 78th birthday. She was loved so very much and will be greatly missed.
