Jerome "Jerry" J. DeNuccio:

90, of Stevens Point, died Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at the Harmony Terrace Court, Wausau. Born May 27, 1919 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Son of the late Joseph & Johanna (Abatiello) DeNuccio.

Jerry graduated from the University of Cincinnati.

He was a WWII veteran, serving in the United States Air Force.

His marriage to Patricia Partlow took place on February 14, 1946, in Cincinnati. His wife died on November 7, 2008.

In 1951, Jerry worked for Sentry Insurance as a system specialist, retiring in 1981.

He volunteered for a lot of charitable organizations. He was head coach/manager for the Stevens Point youth baseball. He was a scout master for the boy scouts. Jerry served as an Alderman on the Stevens Point city council and on various council committees. He also served as President on the Stevens Point city council.

He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharist Minister and reader.

Jerry was an avid golfer; he was a member of the Stevens Point Country Club since 1960 and played golf up until the age of 89. He loved to run and competed in 5k and 10k events and competed well into his 80s. He was a member of Sentry Insurance retiree organization.

Jerry was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his sons, Dennis (Jean) DeNuccio of Wausau and Jerry Jr. (Kathy) DeNuccio of Lamoni, Iowa.
3 grandchildren: Damian DeNuccio of New Brighton, MN, Margo DeNuccio of Milwaukee and Alex DeNuccio of Minneapolis, MN.

Also survived by 3 great-grandchildren and 2 brothers: Louis (Jean) DeNuccio of Murietta, California and Carmen DeNuccio of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Funeral Mass: 11:00am Friday, October 9, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Rev. George Thayikuzhithottu officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery.

Visitation on Friday from 9:30am until time of services at the church.
