Jerryon J. Suchowski

Jerryon (Jerry) Suchowski, 76, of Stevens Point, died surrounded by family on Friday, November 17 from complications from a procedure at St. Clare's Hospital. Jerry was born March 10, 1941 to Clarence and Johanna (Chilla) Suchowski.  He attended St Peter's School and graduated from P.J. Jacob's High School.  He worked at Lullabye Furniture and later retired from Worzalla Publishing Company.  Jerry served as a firefighter for the Town of Dewey. Jerry has been a member of St. Casimir's Church since he was married.

He married Evelyn Eron on June 26, 1971 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.  They were blessed with three children Cheri Kurth, Scott, and Jesse (Steph) Suchowski. Jerry was the proud grandfather of one granddaughter Ashley (Cody) Sevcik and four grandsons Chase and Cole Kurth and Brady and Logan Suchowski.  Jerry had a special grandnephew Braeden Eron who also called him grandpa.

Jerry took great pride in his family, flower gardening, yard work and woodworking. He enjoyed projects such as remodeling an addition to the home, building a deck and a shed.  Jerry enjoyed spending time at Rock and Roll Café, Kim's Barrel Inn, Airport Bar, and going to the casino.   Jerry was known for being a jokester.

The family would like to thank his doctors who cared for him.  Jerry was thankful to Dr. Riordin for repairing his knees so he walk without pain, Dr. O'Malley for his cataract surgery so he could continue to do the projects he loved,  Dr. Hennigan for his hip surgery, along with Dr. Johnson and the many other hands who worked on him.

Jerry is survived by his brothers Claron (Patti) and Randy (Marge) Suchowski, two godchildren Allan Eron and Judy Schulist, as well as a special friend Dave (Sharon) Szemborski whom he called his brother.  Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother Darrell, and one infant son.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday November 24, 2017, at St. Casimir Catholic Church. Rev. Arul Joseph V. will officiate. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
