Joanne L. Eddy

Joanne Lucille Eddy (nee Conrad) was born July 21, 1935, in Duluth, Minnesota. She passed away peacefully June 21, 2013, at Crystal River Nursing Home in Waupaca.

Joanne enjoyed fishing, gardening, making dolls and jewelry, knitting, building puzzles and playing Bingo. She spent several years as a bookkeeper at Eddy's Intercool in Plover. Her five sons were the love of her life, who richly blessed her throughout her years. Her grandchildren especially held a special place in her heart.

Becoming a member of the Red Hat Society brought her together with many good friends and good times. She was a kind and loving woman, making friends wherever she went. Joanne loved her years on the farm in Hancock with her three youngest sons, a horse and dogs Chase and Brandy.

After many years of suffering, she has joined her mother with Jesus. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Bertha Conrad; and her brother, Richard.

She is survived by five sons, Byrl (Donna) of Appleton, Gary of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jim of Raiford, Fla., Tim of Amherst, and Mark of Stevens Point; 10 grandchildren, Laura Lynn, Sean, Gary, Byrl, Byron, Jonathan, Timothy, Margaret, Jordyn and Dawson; and 4 great-grandchildren, Rowan, Aiden, Phoebe and Christian. Joanne is also survived by her sister, Pat Gronset; and brother, Dan Conrad; and her aunt, Elaine Craig.

Visitation and a memorial service will be held Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 900 Brilowski Rd., Stevens Point, from 6-8pm.
