John J. Schultz, a beloved father and friend, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 57. Born on October 2, 1969, in Waukegan, IL, John was a man whose warmth and humor touched everyone he met.

John was the son of John F. Schultz and the late Barbara R. Schultz. His legacy continues through his children, JD Schultz (Olivia Beyer) and Olivia (Livi) Schultz, with whom he shared his passion for life and laughter. He was married to Kari Schultz for many years and although separated, they remained united in their dedication to raising their children. He is survived by his siblings, Bryan Schultz and Michelle Schultz-Wilson.

John's early education began at Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH), where he graduated in 1987. His pursuit of knowledge and leadership continued at UW-Stevens Point, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Finance in 1994, alongside being the founding president of the Theta XI Fraternity - Gamma Sigma Chapter. He also participated in the ROTC program and graduated as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army. He achieved the rank of Captain and was a Company Commander of a unit in Wausau prior to his honorable discharge. He was a veteran of Desert Storm.

His professional journey began with the Boy Scouts of America as a District Executive for the Samoset Council, a role that reflected his lifelong commitment to mentorship and community service. John's career evolved as he became a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones and Wells Fargo before venturing into entrepreneurship with Schultz Energy Consulting, LLC.

John's commitment to his community was evident in his active involvement with the Boy Scouts, where he attained the rank of Eagle Scout. His passion for scouting continued as he mentored his son who also achieved his Eagle Scout rank. He contributed his time and talents to St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Stevens Point, WI. Recognizing a need in his community, John founded Velocity Clubhouse, LLC, creating a space for Central Wisconsin youth to engage in sports and foster friendships.

A man of many talents, he found joy in woodworking with his son and shared a love for photography with his daughter. He was very creative and artistic, a trait he inherited from his mother. Known for his ability to light up any room, John's infectious laughter and generous spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

John's children fondly recall his love for adventure and his unwavering dedication to creating joyful memories. He was an avid Packers fan and loved being involved in JD's baseball journey and was proud to be a dance dad for Olivia. His legacy of kindness and humor will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.

In memory of John, donations may be made to Samoset Council, Scouting America (formerly the Boy Scouts of America), an organization close to his heart. His life was a testament to the power of kindness, laughter, and community, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
