Joseph A. Janiszewski,
age 93, of Stevens Point, died peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, June 28, 2013 at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital.

He was born Dec. 27, 1919 in the Town of Linwood. He is the son of the late Andrew & Victoria Janiszewski.

His marriage to Dorothy Williams took place on Feb. 22, 1941 at St. Peter Catholic Church. His wife died Oct. 1, 1997.

From 1935 to 1944, Joseph was employed for the Stevens Point Dairy as a Milk Hauler. In 1941, he was involved in a head on collision while driving truck. In March 1945, he started his job at Whiting Plover Paper Mill until his retirement in May 1977.

He enjoyed softball both playing and managing, fishing, being outdoors. He especially enjoyed watching baseball, and he also managed the Thunderbird Bar softball team for many years.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial in his name will be established at a later date.

Survivors include one daughter: Delores (Bill) Herz of Stevens Point, two sons: Mike (Elaine) & Tom (Sherry) Janiszewski both of Stevens Point. One daughter-in-law: Susan Janiszewski of Stevens Point. 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren & 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by 1 son: Andrew, 1 infant granddaughter, 1 grandson, 2 brothers, 1 sister, 1 step-brother & 2 step-sisters.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 am Tuesday at St. Stephen's Catholic Church. Rev. Rex Zimmerman Officiating. Burial will take place in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation from 9:00 am until the time of services Tuesday morning at St. Stephen's Church.
