Joseph M. Schultz

Age 61 of Stevens Point died Sunday afternoon, February 14, 2016 at his home with his wife at his side.

Joe was born May 1, 1954 in Stevens Point. He was the son of the late David Sr. and Helen (Karch) Schultz. Joseph lived in Stevens Point all of his life. He attended St. Peter's Parochial Grade School and graduated from Pacelli High School in 1972.

Joe married Barbara Besiada on August 30, 1992 in Stevens Point. His wife Barbara survives.

Joe went into business with his father as a carpenter for Schultz Construction, upon the completion of his apprenticeship program. He was a member of the Golden Sands Home Builders Association and also served on their Board of Directors. Later he worked for numerous union contractors and was a proud member of the Carpenters Union Local 804 where he served as a trustee and job steward for the union. Joe also served on the Wisconsin State Apprenticeship Board for many years.

He was a member of the Stevens Point Moose Lodge 1572 for over 30 years.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved playing golf, recording two holes-in-one and he also loved the Green Bay Packers.

Joe is survived by his wife Barbara of Stevens Point; daughter Sara (Todd) Milewski of Sun Prairie and their children Megan and Wyatt; daughter Beth (Blair) Jamison of Surprise, AZ., and their children Bailey and Jackson, and one son Karl (Katherine) Schultz of San Diego, CA.

Further survived by his brothers Vic (Fay) Schultz, Ernie (Carol) Schultz, David Jr. (Darlene) Schultz, Paul (Pat) Schultz and Chet (Cheryl) Schultz and two sisters Ruthann (Terry) Nelson and Alice (Jeff) Johnson.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Pisarski Funeral Home in Stevens Point. Family and friends may call from 9:30 A.M. Thursday morning at the funeral home until the time for services. The Pisarski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
