Julia T. Guzman:
88, of Stevens Point, died Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Portage County Health Care Center. Julia was born on February 13, 1925, in Stevens Point. She was the daughter of the late John & Victoria (Hoppa) Klesmith.
She attended local schools. Her marriage to Felix Guzman took place on May 17, 1941 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Her husband died on February 29, 2008. Felix & Julia operated the Guzman family farm in the Town of Carson until moving to Stevens Point in 1971.
Julia was a member of the St. Peter Rosary Society Rose #21 and St. Bartholomew Rosary Society.
She enjoyed gambling, gardening, enjoyed birds, loved children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she took great care of her yard.
Survivors include her daughters, Marjorie (Virgil) Brown and Pat (Tony) Wanta Sr. both of Stevens Point.
Seven grandchildren, Charlene (Fred) Hopfensperger, Sharon (Marvin) Flick, Melanie (Mark Pliska) Hoffman, Tony (Charisse) Wanta Jr., Paula (Bruce) Przybylski, Lynn (Roger) Pascavis & Christopher (Heidi) Brown.
Ten great-grandchildren, Jessica, Eric, Joshua, Dustin, Kyle, Jeffrey, Wendy, Samantha, Joey & Hailey.
Two great-great-grandchildren, Karter & Kasen. Sister-in-law, Lillian Klesmith of Stevens Point.
Preceded in death by a grandson, Kenneth Brown; three sisters & three brothers.
The family would like to thank the special angels at the Portage County Health Care Center who took care of Julie, especially in the last few weeks.
Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Rev. Arul Joseph V. officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service in the St. Faustina Room at church.
