KARL R. ZDROIK,
417 Sixth Avenue. Stevens Point, died Friday afternoon at the Portage County Health Care Center. Dec. 29, 2006. AGE: 88. Karl was born April 25, 1918 in Stevens Point. He was the son of the late John & Anthonina (nee: Wiza) Zdrojewski. Karl attended local schools in Stevens Point. He served in the Wisconsin State Guard from 1943 until 1944. He then entered United States Navy as a Third Class Motor Machinist. He was honorably discharged on October 18, 1945 in Great Lakes, Ill.
His marriage to Florence Freda took place on October 26, 1938 at St. Peter's Catholic Church. After their marriage, the couple settled in Stevens Point. His wife, Florence, died April 3, 2006. Karl worked for Consolidated Papers – Stevens Point division for many years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Berens-Scribner American Legion Post 6 of Stevens Point. Karl enjoyed tinkering and being a handyman, he also enjoyed watching TV.

Preceded in death by: wife, Florence, 1 infant daughter, and several brothers and sisters.
FUNERAL MASS: 10:30 am Tuesday, St. Peter's Catholic Church. Rev. Kevin C. Louis officiating. Burial in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Family and Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Monday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, Stevens Point, and from 9:30 am
Tuesday in the St. Faustina Room of St. Peter's Church until the time for Mass. There will be an American Legion Post 6 Ritual at 6:30 pm Monday evening, followed by the Parish Rosary at 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Online Condolences may be directed to www.pisarskifuneralhome.com.
