Kenneth D. Glazer, age 93, of Stevens Point, died Wed. Nov. 22, 2017 at his residence. He was born on Oct. 2, 1924 in Milwaukee. He is the son of the late Phil and Elva (Schultz) Glazer.
He entered the US Army Air Force on Dec. 4, 1942 in Milwaukee. He received 4 overseas service bars, European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with 1 Silver Battle Star and 1 Bronze Battle Star, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal. He was honorably discharged on Nov. 13, 1945 at Camp Grant, IL.
His marriage to Virginia Lodzinski took place on Aug. 2, 1947 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek. The couple celebrated 70 years of marriage this past August.
He was employed at Santa Fe & Soo Line Railroads and Consolidated Papers.
Survivors include his wife: Virginia, five daughters: Cheryl Glazer of Stevens Point, Kathy (Ed) Baumhofer of Eagle, WI, Sandy (Terry Mathis) Rusch of Helena, MT, Mary (Mark Moss) Glazer of Greenville, NC and Lori (Jim) Gooden of Minneapolis, MN. One son: Kent (Ann) Glazer of Stevens Point. 19 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 1 sister: Jean Ekelin & 1 brother: David Glazer.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM on Monday Nov. 27, 2017 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Parish cemetery. Visitation will start with a rosary prayed at 9:30 AM Monday morning at the Church and will conclude at the start of the Mass. Pisarski Funeral Home of Stevens Point is honored to be serving the family.
