Klaus Daniel Anderson, 72 of Stevens Point, passed away at home on July 5, 2026.

Klaus was born on June 6, 1954 in Ansbach, Germany to the late Irmgard “Irma” (Schmidt) and Wallace “Andy” Anderson.

Before settling in Stevens Point, Klaus traveled for the United States Army. His marriage to Diane Batten took place on January 7, 1978 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Together they raised their family of 2 sons and 1 daughter.

Klaus enjoyed traveling the U.S. with his wife, watching the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers. His most favorite thing was to spend time with his great granddaughter, Sabrina.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Diane, and his brother, Robert Schmidt of Germany.

Klaus is survived by his children, Brian, Daniel, and Ashley. He is further survived by his grandchildren: Nicole, Angel, and Tristan; and his great granddaughter, Sabrina.

He is also survived by his siblings: Ingrid (Harry) Weinert, Christa (Butch) Strong, Diane Salvinski, Sandra Brown, and Gary (Peggy) Anderson.

A Celebration of Life for Klaus will be held at Iverson Park Girl Scout Pavillion on July 19th, 2026 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Those willing and able to are invited to bring a dish to pass.
