Lawrence E. Piotrowski

Lawrence E. Piotrowski, age 79, of 815 W. Gates Drive, Stevens Point, died Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 6, 2006, at St. Michael's Hospital. Born Aug. 3, 1927, in the town of Buena Vista to the late Leo and Gertrude (Sankey) Piotrowski. He entered the U.S. Navy on June 18, 1945, in Milwaukee and served as a Seaman 1st Class. He earned the Asiatic Pacific Area ribbon and the WWII Victory ribbon. His honorable discharge took place on Aug. 5, 1946, at Great Lakes Naval Base in Illinois.
On Feb. 20, 1950, he was married to Caroline Herman at St. Peter Catholic Church. Lawrence worked as a supervisor for Preway in Wisconsin Rapids for 41 years before retiring in 1987. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing with his grandchildren and working in his yard.

Wife: Caroline Piotrowski of Stevens Point.

Ronald (Linda) Piotrowski of Appleton;
James (Sue) Piotrowski of Stevens Point;
Kevin (Karen) Piotrowski of Stevens Point.

1 Daughter:

Linda (Jerry) Ziolkowski of Stevens Point.

1 Brother: Melvin Piotrowski of Stevens Point.

4 Sisters:

Lillian Walker of Florida;
Sr. Romana Piotrowski of Arizona;
Sr. Bede Piotrowski of Green Bay;
Mary Ann Wrycza of Appleton.

Also: 18 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: His parents and son, Donald.

Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point and again on Saturday in the St. Faustina Room at St. Peter Church from 12:00 Noon until the time of Mass.
