Leona Mary Corrado, 89 of Plover, Wisconsin, previously of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 11, 1936 to the late John and Jean (Bukowski) Nendza.

Leona worked in the restaurant business as a waitress at Marknique Supper Club. She married Joseph Corrado. He preceded her in passing on March 23, 1980.

Leona enjoyed traveling, reading magazines, and cooking. She loved to prepare for the holidays and spend time with her family members. She was especially fond of her dogs and loved them fiercely. Leona had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers.

Leona was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph, and her son Michael Corrado.

Leona is lovingly survived by her children, Jospeh Mendza of Chicago, IL and Mary (Michael) Austin of Plover, WI. She is also survived by her grandchildren Desiray (Tony) Rockweit of Stevens Point, WI, Steffani Austin of Plover, WI, and Anthony Corrado and Michael Corrado jr. and her great-grandchildren Porter, Jameson, and Jackson. Leona is further survived by her dear friend, Bill Bartels of Clintonville, WI.

Funeral Services for Leona will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Pisarski Community Funeral Home, 2911 Plover Road, Plover. The service will be led by Deacon Jim Trzinski. A visitation for family and friends will be from 2:00 PM on Friday until the time of services at the funeral home. A private burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in Alsip, Illinois. Pisarski Funeral Homes are honored to be serving the Corrado Family.
