LeRoy E. Drapes:

Age 69, of 409 Verrill St. in Stevens Point, died Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point, following a lengthy illness.

He was born Oct. 26, 1940 in Stevens Point. Son of Martha (Glaza) Drapes and the late Emil Drapes.

He entered the US Army on Aug. 3, 1964. He served as a military policeman and received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the Sharpshooter Medal. He was honorably discharged Aug. 2, 1966.

His marriage to Shirley Kitowski took place on July 8, 1967 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Stevens Point.

LeRoy worked for Wisconsin Public Service for 35 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1170. He enjoyed Fishing, Hunting and watching the Packers and Brewers.

Survivors include His wife: Shirley, His Mother: Martha.

3 Sons: Brian of Fort Atkinson, Keith (Lea) of Wisconsin Rapids and Bradley of Stevens Point. 3 Grandchildren: Lauren, Burgess & Sydney.

3 Brothers: Patrick (Karel) of Greenfield, James of Plover & David (Beth) of Shorewood. 1 Sister: Shirley (Robert) Krentz of Fort Atkinson.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Father: Emil.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM Tuesday at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover. Rev. James Trempe officiating. Burial in the Guardian Angel Cemetery.

Visitation from 4 to 8 PM Monday at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home in Plover and from 9:30 AM until the time of services Tuesday morning at the Church. The Knights of Columbus will combine with a general rosary at 7:00 PM Monday Eve. at the Funeral Home.
