Lisa M.  Cisewski

Age 48 of  Stevens Point passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 following a courageous battle with cancer. Lisa was born January 20, 1969 in Stevens Point.

She is the daughter of Lorraine Kerchefski and the late Barney Kerchefski. Lisa was a graduate of SPASH in 1988.

She then married her high school sweetheart, Nick Cisewski on August 12, 1989 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek. Lisa loved spending time with her family, camping and shopping with her mom. She enjoyed taking care of her flower gardens, and loved attending the Hodag Country Music Festival for over the past 25 years.

Lisa worked at Herrschners before becoming a stay at home mom and raising her family. She then went to work for the Stevens Point School District as a Teacher's Assistant at Kennedy Elementary School. Lisa had a special gift for working with children, and she utilized these gifts while raising her own children, providing childcare for numerous family members, and then ultimately sharing her talent with the Stevens Point School District.

In Lieu of flowers a memorial in Lisa's name will be established at a later date.

Lisa will be greatly missed by her husband Nick, and their four children; Nicole, Nathan, Noah and Natalie all of whom reside in Stevens Point. She is further survived by her mother Lorraine Kerchefski of Stevens Point, and her three brothers Dale (Laura) Kerchefski, Troy (Kelly) Kerchefski of Stevens Point and Scott (Jackie) Kerchefski of Junction City.

Lisa is also survived by her Father and Mother in law Harry and Ann Cisewski as well as a brothers and sister in laws; Jackie (Dan) Mabrey, Greg (Kristin) Cisewski and Ryan (Stacey) Cisewski along with many nieces and nephews.

Lisa was preceded in death by her father Barney and an infant sister Brenda Kerchefski.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, July 1, 2017 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek. Rev. Dennis Stanchick officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Bartholomew Parish Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 9:00 A.M. Saturday at St. Bartholomew Church until the time for mass.
