Lorraine M. Falkavage, age 88, of Stevens Point, died early Friday morning, Sep. 11, 2009, at Harmony Commons in Stevens Point.
She was born on May 18, 1921, in Stevens Point to the late Frank and Lucy (Duberstein) Falkavage and attended St. Peter Grade School and P.J. Jacobs High School. Lorraine worked at Joerns in Stevens Point for many years before her retirement.
Lorraine was a 54-year member of St. Peter's Rosary Society-Rose 21.
She is survived by her brother, Ervin (Alice) Falkavage of Stevens Point; her sister-in-law, Margaret Falkavage of Stevens Point; 6 nephews, John (Charlotte) Kolinski of Stevens Point, Robert Kolinski of Oshkosh, Thomas (Bonnie) Kolinski of Oostberg, James (Marian) Falk of Stevens Point, Clifford (Mary) Falkavage of Arkansas, and John Falkavage of Stevens Point; 4 nieces, Sharlene Falkavage of Stevens Point, Gail (Edward) Allan of Oregon, Jean (Dick Schumacker) Falkavage of Minnesota, and Shirley Kalpinski of Stevens Point. Further survived by many grand-nephews and grand-nieces.
In addition to her parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
The family of Lorraine thanks the staff of Ministry Home Care – Hospice Services for the care given to Lorraine.
The funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Raja officiating. Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point and again on Monday in the St. Faustina Room of St. Peter Church from 9 a.m. until the time for Mass.
