Lucille Armatoski:
86, of 3876 Custer Road, Stevens Point, died Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at her home. She was under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice. Born: January 16, 1924 in Stevens Point. Daughter of the late Leo & Minnie (Landowski) Wanta. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in Polonia.
Her marriage to Leo Armatoski took place on September 4, 1943 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Polonia; after the marriage, the couple settled in the Custer area where they ran a dairy farm. Her husband died on March 20, 1995.
She was a member of the St. Mary's Altar Society
She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, crafting, gardening, visiting with her grandchildren, polka music and church picnics.
Survivors include 2 Sons: Robert (Sandie) Armatoski of Stevens Point and Thomas Armatoski of Custer. 3 Daughters: Sandra (Arthur) Lepak of Amherst, Bonnie (Tony) Werachowski of Custer and Janice (John) Nasberg of Waupaca.
17 Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren plus foster children and 1 Great-Great-Grandson.
Brothers: Ted (Joan) Wanta of West Bend and Ronald Wanta of Maywood, California.
Preceded in death by a Daughter: Rose, Son: Terry, Brothers: Leo & Donald Wanta and Great-Granddaughter: Sammy Jo Kurdydyk.
Funeral Mass: 11:00am Saturday, September 4, 2010 at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Custer. Rev. Rajen Anandan officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation on Friday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, Stevens Point, and again on Saturday from 10:00am until time of services at the church.
St. Mary's Altar Society will combine with the parish rosary prayed at 7:00pm Friday at the funeral home.
