Margaret "Peggy" L. Barden:
Formerly of the Town of Buena Vista, Plover, died Thursday morning, Sept. 16, 2010 at the Luther Hospital in Eau Claire after a long battle with cancer. Age 59.
Peggy was born June 17, 1951 in Stevens Point. She was the daughter of the late
Emil and Dorothy (Peck) Hoppa. She attended local schools and graduated from Maria High School in 1969.
Her marriage to James Barden took place on June 2, 1973 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Stevens Point.
After their marriage, the couple settled in Buena Vista. Her husband, Jim, preceded her in death on April 27, 2007.
Peggy worked for K Mart for over twenty years, and recently at McDonald's until her retirement in
2009.
She enjoyed craft works, crocheting and sewing and loved the Packers.
Survivors include three daughters: Michelle (Jim) Alexander of Mondovi, WI, Jennifer (Chris) Brown of Oregon, WI, and Karla (Joshua) Smith of Kronnenweter, WI.
Six grandchildren: Hunter, Gavin, Natalie, Kaitlyn, Samantha and Chloe.
One brother: Peter Hoppa of Casper, WY.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, James, and one sister, Barbara.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM Monday at St. Bronislava Catholic Church. Rev. James Trempe officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery at a later date. Family and Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, September 19, 2010 at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home in Plover, and from 9:30 AM Monday at St. Bronislava Church until the time of mass.
