Marjorie J. (Faucett) Rutta died peacefully on Monday, February 2, 2026. Majorie was born on April 4, 1937 in Stevens Point, Portage County, Wisconsin to Jerry and Eleanor (Curran) Faucett. She attended local schools and married the late Max J. Rutta on June 11, 1954. They had a honeymoon in the Wisconsin Dells. They spent two years living in North Hollywood, California and returned to Stevens Point in 1960. She was a devoted, supportive, and caring mother to her children.

Majorie held various jobs in the area before taking a position with the Town of Hull in 1977, where she worked for 29 years. She enjoyed her work and the opportunity to connect with the Town’s residents. With her husband, Max, she supported the founding of the Town of Hull volunteer fire department. And she joined her family in outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing, camping, and casino gaming - occasionally hitting jackpots and always generous with the winnings. Her travels included trips to visit family in Arizona, Florida, and Washington, DC and in retirement to South Dakota’s Black Hills, Nashville and Appalachia, and Ozarks and Gulf Coast. For the past several years, she lived in Cottage Grove and Madison, Wisconsin.

Marjorie is survived by her son, Randall Rutta, her daughter Michelle Rutta (Wahe), her son-in-law Stefan Wahe and her three grandsons, Alex, Michael, and Max Wahe, her brother-in-law Robert Rutta, his wife Bonnie (Faes) Rutta, their sons Ryan and Travis and their families. She is also survived by her step-brother John Faucett and his wife Mary (Degere) Faucett and her step-sister Penny (Faucett) Dieckman and her husband Don Dieckman and their children Tim, Robin, and April and their families. She was preceded in death by her infant son Jeffery, her parents, her brother Richard Faucett, and much loved aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Marjorie brought joy to all who knew her. She was generous in support of her family, friends, and community. She will be missed. A Celebration of Life for Marjorie will be held in the Spring.
