Mary T. Blaski:

Of Steven Point, died Friday morning, June 3, 2011 at her home. Age 91.

Mary was born July 3, 1919 in Stevens Point. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Johanna (Krutza) Firkus.

She married the love of her life, Raymond F. "Zblewski" Blaski, on February 14, 1942 at St. Bronislava
Catholic Church in Plover.

The coupled settled in Plover, later moving to Germantown in 1959. They then moved to Allentown, then to Minocqua in 1976.

Her husband, Raymond, died June 20, 1986. Mary then moved back to Stevens Point in 1987.

Mary was an angel waiting for her wings. God called her to him on Friday morning. She was a kind hearted woman. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She had a deep faith for her church. Mary will be missed by all. One of her saddest days of her life was when she lost her daughter, Diane, on September 9, 2003.

Mary enjoyed polka music, card playing and going to church picnics.


Survivors include one son: David (Shawn) Zblewski of Tomahawk, a daughter: Deloris (Lester) Karpinski of Stevens Point and a son-in-law: Dennis Radawitz from Woneewoc, WI.

Her grandchildren: David Scott (Ann) Zblewski, Dana (Marci) Radawitz, Del (Lisa) Radawitz, Travis Karpinski, Jay Karpinski, Dawn (Corey) Spader and Sheila (Todd) Lucht.

Her great-grandchildren: Katlyn Karpinski, Rachael Zblewski, Brittney Spader, Nichole Spader, Julia Zblewski, Makenzie Lucht, Courtney Zblewski, Ava Karpinski and one step-great-grandson: John Wall. One additional great-grandchild expected this fall.

Three sisters: Barbara Czerwonka, Irene Sankey and Evelyn Zblewski, and two brothers: Lloyd Firkus and Joseph Firkus.

She was preceded in death by four brothers: Edward, Alfred, Stanley and Raymond and four sisters: Julia, Genevieve, Elizabeth and Catherine and one step-great-grandson: Greg Lucht.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Thursday, June 9, 2011 at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Rev. Greg Boehrn officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Parish Cemetery in Polonia. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, and from 9:00 AM Thursday at the St. Faustina Room of St. Peter's Church until the time for mass.
