Michael J. Rozak

Michael J. Rozak, 83 of Plover, Wisconsin formerly of Mercer, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 20, 1943 to the late John and Clara Rozak in Mercer, Wisconsin.

Michael grew up in Mercer and worked for Michigan State Department of Transportation for 25 years. He also worked for Altman Excavating and was a certified locksmith. He owned and operated M.R. Locks.

Mike was a proud United States Army Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion, the veterans memorial, wildlife wetlands, a lifetime member of VFW post 9536, and a lifetime member of VFW post 10221 Alaska. His hobbies included small engine repair and he loved to build things. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and volunteering. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Some of his greatest travels were to Alaska. He enjoyed wildlife and the outdoors,

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Clarine Herz, and his nephew, William Herz.

He is lovingly survived by his brother Raymond Rozak, and his niece, Laynaye (David) Deverell. He is further survived by his great nieces, Chayna, Chantel, and Tiara, and his great nephew, Robert Dulske. He is also survived by many great, great nieces and nephews and cousins.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the care staff at Tanglewood Assisted Living and St. Croix Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Uncle Mike.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Mike at the Mercer VFW, 4299 Old Hwy 51, Mercer, WI 54547, on Saturday, November 14, 2026 from 12:00 PM (noon) until 2:00 PM. Mike will be laid to rest in Mercer Cemetery (5041 Beachway Dr, Mercer, WI 54547) before the celebration at 11:30 AM on Saturday. All are welcome to attend.
