In Loving Memory of Nick Nichiporuk
February 24, 1961 – October 18, 2026
Nick Nichiporuk, age 65, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of his family. Born on February 24, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, Nick was the son of Walter and Anna ((Lucenko), stepfather, Vladimir) Nichiporuk. His stepmother, Antonia “Toni” Nichiporuk, also played a significant role in his life, and the bond they shared was an important part of his family story.
Nick spent his early years growing up in Chicago before moving to Leitchfield, Kentucky, where he spent his high school years. He later returned to Chicago to attend DeVry University, where he earned a degree and then continued working in the field of electronics.
Nick enjoyed a variety of interests, including bass fishing with his best friend and brother-in-law, Jimmy, listening to his favorite ’80s rock music, and, above all, joking around with family and friends. He cherished the time he spent with his loved ones, and his humor, personality, and familiar presence brought something special to those around him.
Nick is survived by his beloved sister, Mary Simpson; two nieces Christine Reichenberger & Ann Niccum, his daughter, Jennifer Roy; his son-in-law, Andy Roy; his cherished granddaughter, Kya Roy; and his cousin, Nona Franzwa. Nick is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Anna Nichiporuk, his stepmother, Toni, and his brother-in-law, Jimmy Simpson.
Though Nick’s passing leaves a deep sadness, the laughter he shared, the memories he created, and the love he gave will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His life will be remembered with affection, and his absence will be felt by all who held him dear.
Rest peacefully, Nick. You will always be loved and never forgotten.
