Patrick A. Martin, formerly of Stevens Point, passed away unexpectedly early Thursday morning, December 14, 2017 in Plano, TX. He was 50 years old.

Patrick was born July 2, 1967 in Stevens Point, Wi. He is the son of the late Jack A. Martin and Rita (Cliff) Leary. In his youth, Patrick attended schools in Stevens Point and graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) in 1986. Patrick was employed at Wismettac Asian Foods in Irving, TX.

Patrick was married to Barbara Pliska at St. Stephens Catholic Church in 1989. Together they had one son, Ryan, now age 23. The couple later divorced.

Pat had a genuine zest for living and enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting and his motorcycle. He was a great story teller and had a special gift of making others laugh. He was very close to and loved his family, and had many friends throughout the country.

Patrick is survived by his son, Ryan Martin of Stevens Point, his mother and step father, Rita and Clifford Leary, two brothers Paul Martin (Kathy Hill) of Palm Bay, FL., and Peter (Kristen) Martin of Eden Prairie, MN., and close family and friends Ernie and Ythu Wooster of Little Elm, TX. He was preceded in death by his father Jack A. Martin in 1978.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Plover. Deacon Vern Linzmeier officiating. Burial will be in the Guardian Angel Cemetery at a later date. Family and friends may call from 10:00 A.M. Saturday morning at the Pisarski Funeral Home until the time for services.
