Paul Robert Kostuchowski, 75 of Plover, passed away at home on July 22, 2026. He was born on October 16, 1950 to John and Dorothy (nee Kobierzynski) Kostuchowski. He grew up in Stevens Point and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1969. Following graduation, Pauldedicated 33 years to the Printing Department at Sentry Insurance, eventually retiring after thecompany transitioned to Spectra Print.
Some of Paul’s interests included bowling, softball, and baseball. In his later years you could usually find him at the bowling alley on league nights or there on weekends for tournaments. He and his son, David were on many of the same teams over the years. Paul enjoyed getting to spend that quality time with him. When his kids were younger, he loved going to watch them play baseball and softball. Each summer he inevitably became one of the assistant coaches because he was always at practices and games. He would instruct about proper technique and teach game strategy to those learning the complexities of the sport. When his grandchildren were born, he ALWAYS wanted to go visit and spend time with them.
Anyone that knew Paul knew about his passion for lawn care. He was dedicated to ensuring his lawn looked flawless at all times. Most people have probably heard advice from him over the years on what type of fertilizer to use, watering schedule, mowing patterns, etc. When it was nice outside, you’d find him relaxing in the shade enjoying the breeze. You could also count on Paul to lend a helping hand if something needed repair or installation. Whether it be related to lawn mowers, snow blowers, ceiling fans, faucets, or even the occasional washing machine, he was the guy to go to.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, numerous aunts and uncles, and his brothers-in-law Peter Baumgarten and Edward Schilling.
He is survived by his three children: Jodi, David (Jennifer), and Joseph (Courtney) as well as his spouse, Jean. He is further survived by his grandchildren: Royal, Journey, Konrad, Aaron, Emily, and Logan; his great-grandchildren: Storm, Paisleigh and Arya; his siblings: Jane (Ken) Somers and Jim Kostuchowski; his nephew, Scott (Renee & Caitlyn) Somers; his niece, Tracy Somers; and his brothers- and sisters-in-law: Millie Schilling, Jim (Trish) Baumgarten, Linda (Jeff) Akin, and Bill (Lori) Baumgarten, alongside many beloved nieces and nephews.
