Ramona "Mona" M. Konkol,
age 87, of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013 at Oakridge Senior Living.

She was born Feb. 26, 1926 in the Town of Stockton. She is the daughter of the late John & Mathilda (Gosh) Herman.

Her marriage to Sylvester "Syl" Konkol took place on Nov. 18, 1944 at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Fancher. Her husband died April 10, 2005.

Ramona was an Honor member of St. Peter's Rosary Society, Rose #50 since 1957.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, baking, bowling taking car rides, traveling and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial in her name will be established at a later date.

Survivors include five sons: Rev. Robert Konkol O.F.M. of Pulaski, Richard (Aimee) of Hilbert, Michael of Stevens Point, Larry (Karen) of Plover & Bruce (Sheila) Konkol of Idaho. Three daughters: Karen (Robert) Purtell of Brown Deer, Debra Knutson & Mary Kay Jenquine both of Idaho.

16 grandchildren & 22 great-grandchildren.

One sister: Ann Britz of Plover & one brother: John (Lu) Herman of Stevens Point. She also is survived by her best friend Alice Wergin of Stevens Point.

She was preceded in death by 1 son: Mark, 1 grandson: Todd Konkol & 3 brothers.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Her son, the Rev. Robert Konkol, will officiate. Burial will take place in the St. Mary of Mount Carmel Parish cemetery in Fancher. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of services Tuesday morning in the St. Faustina Room at St. Peter Church.
