Of Stevens Point died early Sunday morning June 8, 2014 at home with his family at his side.

Age 92 Ray was born January 15, 1922 in Ironwood, MI. He was the son of the late Frank and Adele (Clement) Kadonsky. He graduated from Abbotsford High School.

He entered the United States Army on October 15, 1940 in Abbotsford, WI. He served as a Tech Sergeant with the 121st Field Artillery Regiment 32nd Red Arrow infantry division. He later served with the 734th Field Artillery Battalion 1st infantry division. Ray served in Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He received the American Defense Service Medal with 2 overseas service bars, European/African/Middle Eastern Theatre Service Medal, Army of Occupation-Germany Medal, World War II Victory Medal, the Purple Heart and the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged on October 17, 1945 at Camp McCoy.

He married the former Betty Weaver of Owen, WI., on October 27, 1945 in Abbotsford. Ray worked for the Department of Motor Vehicles as a Drivers License examiner for many years retiring in 1982.

Ray is survived by his wife Betty of Stevens Point, two sons; Chuck Kadonsky of Milwaukee and Dave (Jodie) Kadonsky of Oshkosh and one granddaughter Grace. Further survived by two brothers Francis Kadonsky of Clearwater, FL. and John Kadon of Scottsdale, AZ.

He was preceded in death by one sister Irene.

Ray's family would like to thank all of his caregivers, especially Betty and Lynne and the nurses and doctors at St. Michaels Hospital for all their kindness and care given to Ray the past several months.
